The Gordian Labs team brings deep experience and a diverse set of skills to our services and product development.
Andy Carra is a creative technologist with diverse interests in financial technology, wireless networking, artificial intelligence, immersive computing, network protocols, and user interface design. Andy brings over 10 years of engineering management and programming expertise to the Gordian Labs team, as well as a Masters Degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Michigan. Areas of expertise include the web-based enterprise applications in J2EE, Perl, PHP, and C, and desktop applications in Java, C, Pascal, and other languages. Other experience includes founding and running a private internet colocation provider, administration of various systems, and co-founding and maintaining the largest online database of observed WiFi networks, WiGLE.net. Andy is based in San Francisco, and is excited to be involved with all aspects of Gordian Labs.
Hrishi Dixit has lived in the computational and enterprise software space for over 13 years and has deployed large-scale enterprise applications in several domain spaces spanning finance, retail, geo-analytics and e-commerce, with specific focus on financial systems and wealth management. Areas of technical expertise include designing extensible and scalable software architectures in a wide technology space including C/C++, Java/J2EE-stack, PHP/LAMP-stack, data modeling, EAI & web services. Prior to co-founding Gordian Labs, he served as senior technical architect and dev manager at Finaplex, Inc. where he was responsible for deployments of the Finaplex Wealth platform at major financial institutions. Hrishi has a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science from Cornell University, and is based in New York City.
Bill Merrill brings a diverse set of computational expertise. Past projects include development of web and client-based usability-driven applications, distributed network security and capacity monitoring software products for enterprise and service providers, data visualization, autonomous navigation systems, and software compilers. Across these problems sets he has sought to produce innovative and powerful descriptions of use, expectation, and testability to aid in the production of excellent software. Bill earned a Bachelors of Science in Computers Science from Michigan Technological University, studied Artificial Intelligence and Educational Technologies at the University of Michigan, and was a founding member of the research and development team for network security startup Arbor Networks. He is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Robert Seymour is a manager and architect with numerous successful products in financial markets and internet/startup software fields over the last 15 years. Robert has experience in technology, management, strategy, and trading at startups, investment banks, software companies, and a major exchange. Prior to co-founding Gordian Labs, Robert was Chief Software Architect at Finaplex, Inc. where he led the design of a comprehensive wealth management system and several key development teams. He has bachelors in Economics and Philosophy from Reed College and graduate studies in System Science at Portland State University. Robert is based in San Francisco.
